Wolf Gang was a British alternative and symphonic rock band with Max McElligott as lead vocalist. Having played with different musicians, McElligott settled on a live set up in late which included Lasse Petersen (drums) previously of The Rakes, Gavin Slater (guitar) and James Wood (bass). When playing live the band also toured with a keyboard player, at one time Beau Holland.

Eddie Shaw first gained fame as Howlin' Wolf's sax player before he started fronting his own band, Eddie Shaw & the Wolf Gang. Vaan Shaw has justifiably gained a rep as a hotshot guitar player. This collaboration is an entirely acoustic affair, which explains the title. Naked features only Vaan's guitar and Eddie's sax and harmonica, minus any.

“The Blues is good News” is the title track on this CD. The first from three CD´s from Eddie Shaw & his band The Wolf Gang. He was Wolf´s bandleader in his last years and one of the best saxophone players from the Westside!

Eddie Shaw and The Wolf Gang @ The Blues Saloon, Feb. 13, By Dave "Doc" Piltz Valentine's weekend in the Twin Cities was an action-packed three days for local blues fans. On Saturday night, Eddie Shaw and The Wolf Gang went up against two very formidable "opponents," Mike Welch (Famous Dave's) and Roomful of Blues (Brew Baker's).

Dec 06,  · The great Eddie Shaw – one of the few saxophonists to ever build an enduring career leading a blues band, and who famously was Howlin’ Wolf’s bandleader – is still going strong 60 years.
